Beejive for iPhone

If you're like me then you have been looking for a IM chat app for the iPhone that will work with several chat services and offer the new 3.0 application push feature. After downloading several of the free clients out there, and realizing exactly why they were free, I ended up buying Beejive. It is currently on sale for $9.99, down from $15.99, while their 3.0 version goes through Apples app review. This application doesn't dissappoint. It has every feature I could want in a mobile IM client. It allows me to connect to AIM, GoogleTalk, ICQ, Jabber, MSN, Myspace IM, Yahoo! Messenger, and Facebook IM. Beejive boasts several great features. It uses a clean unclutterd chat interface, the ability to share images from your phone library or take a new shot, landscape chat, and more. It is no surprise that it has a 4.5 star rating in the apple store with over 2500 ratings. If you're in the market for an amazing chat application for the iPhone I would highly suggest grabbing this app.

TweetDeck for the iPhone

TweetDeck, probably the best desktop Twitter app out there, has just released an iPhone version. I just installed it so I haven't had much time to mess around with it. From my short experience with it I have decided that it is the best Twitter app for the iPhone since Tweetie. Actually, I would say it is the best. TweetDeck for the iPhone is free! Sure the UI may be a little cluttered, but look at all it lets you do! TweetDeck offers multiple panels similar to Safari for the iPhone. Using this feature you can set up several Twitter feeds and quickly browse through them all. All in all, I think TweetDeck for the iPhone is great and it will be replacing Tweetie for me.

New Blog, Up and running...

Posterous_logo1

I was going to try and style up a word press theme for my blog, but I am no good at that. I write code all day, who am I trying to kid? I was looking around at sites across the net and came across http://posterous.com. It vaguely reminds me of tumblr, if anyone remembers that.  I wasn't to impressed at first glance. I then noticed that they had a API section. I gave that a look and was pleasantly surprised. I decided that I would make my posts to posterous and then use the API they offer to grab my post data and display it on my site. It made it that much easier to get the look and feel I wanted without building my own blog application.

I am still working on the layout, but I figured I would start off with a post to make it easier to style :)
